About Me

I decided to start this blog because I do enjoy blogging and because I want to update my family and friends on my travels. I also hope to give somewhat of a portrait of what I’m learning about Tanzanian culture.

I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying Sociocultural Anthropology and Biomolecular Science. I will be in Tanzania for 4 weeks in a GIEU study abroad program learning about disability in Tanzania. I have worked a lot with kids with disabilities in the past, so I am interested to see what the experience of disability is like in Tanzania, and I’m really excited to learn about their culture and way of living.
